The purpose of the forum was to discuss trends in the development of future networks, compliance testing and interoperability, use cases, and best practices from different countries. As part of the event, the ITU also organized an IT&C training and a meeting of the 11th Regional Group of the Research Commission of the International Telecommunication Union (SG11RG).

The event was intended for representatives from ministries, regulatory bodies, telecom companies, universities, academic institutions, equipment manufacturers, research institutes, and software developers.

The event took place in a hybrid format (physical + online).
